We homeschool, and most of the "learning is fun" type computer programs we have purchased in the past either fell short of any real learning aspect or taught the material well, but wasn't too fun. However, my 10-yr-old little girl really liked Mavis Beacon. It was fun and really turns the lessons into fun games. Usually, we have to tell her how long to practice on her guitar, or other school activity, but she will spend 30 minutes several times a week practicing her typing and we don't have to remind her. I would definitely recommend this program.
